Technical Assistant (Lighting & Live Event Technology) x 40% (Ref: FAT318)

Fixed-Term until 30th September 2011

£18,643 – £ 21,565 per annum, pro rata

We wish to appoint a part-time (40%) Technical Assistant to provide technical support for our courses in Lighting & Live Event Technology. This is a fixed-term appointment until 30 September 2011.

The successful applicant will have experience of lighting and sound equipment and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the lighting and sound studios and labs.

IT literacy, good communication skills, and a positive attitude to staff and students are essential. The successful applicant will work flexibly as part of a team to provide guidance on the use of sound and lighting equipment to staff and students.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the work of other designated groups within the Faculty. An interest in electronics would be an advantage.
